Default Loving More Than One

Maybe because I'm a nerd or just me....I spend the evening watching a PBS version of Dr. Zhivago....which I think focused more into the love he had for both women in his life.

In searching your past...do you think it is possible to love more than one person at a time? I don't think I could.......but that doesn't mean it isn't possible.

Is the question love to the fullest 2 people at once or just in your heart?

I have to admit that I do still love my first love and sometimes regret breaking up with him because I love him so. I love hubby to death also and would never do anything to jeopordize that. I love my husband to the fullest but my first love still holds a piece of my heart and probably always will. Am I holding onto part of my past? perhaps. so, yes, i do think that you can hold 2 different people in your heart and love them both.

Oh.....I'm more prone to think that if a person loves two people....it means their love for either one isn't pure. Thanks for you answer Star....you are probably right. Great advice.

I can't do it. If I start loving one person it usually means that I'm falling out of love for the other.

That distinction applies to me. I've never given all of my love to two people at once. Mine tends to be all consuming, to the exclusion of others. Having said that, my loved ones have usually remained in a corner of my heart pretty much indefinitely.

BTW: The PBS version is EXCELLENT....should anyone ever come across it on television or for sale. I actually cried...... it was terribly romantic and bitter sweet.
