Long distance relationships

I'm currently smitten by this gal who live a gazillion miles away from me. At first it wasn't so bad because we hardly knew each other but now it's getting a lot harder to accept. I think I grow more impatient with each passing day and sometimes more moody because of it.

Well the thing that I like most about her is the fact that she accepts me for the complete idiot I am. I have never had to act in a different way with her which is a new experience for me. She's not caught up in what other people think, just what we think.

Hmmm, sounds like a mutual thing then, thats way cool. And she is cool that you are a "computer gaming geek"? That's important! Maybe you will have to get a web cam to pass the time, that way durring your free long distance talks, you can see her face to face. You just have to love technology.

She knows about my gaming addiction. In fact, I sometimes talk to her over TS when I'm playing.

The gaming addiction has toned down considerably since the creation of this site and ServersIndex.com. Once this one is up and running with a core group of registered users communicating with each other then I'll step back a little bit. I estimate that I have another 6 - 8 months of solid work left between this site, KidZone.Lifesupporters.com and BIGKidZone.Lifesupporters.com. ServersIndex.com will likely never be a site I can put down which is why I've put it off for now. I'm hoping to make that site bigger than Wolf and much more functional and user friendly than Gamespy (without all the ads). It's a very ambitious project.

Hmmmm I'm thinking that normal and d00kie don't belong in the same post hehe It does feel like we are on two different planets. I find myself getting impatient also but then I think about how soon we will be meeting and that brings out a whole new set of nerves. go figureeeee

I don't mind the LDR thing at all. Since I have kids....I find it easier to control in terms of 'time spent'. Guys who can come over all the time get on my nerves. I rarely date locally if I can avoid it.

How many miles apart are you and the bodacious Battleaxe Duke?

She's in Mass and I'm in BC. Not only opposite coasts (essentially) but different countries to b00t.

Isn't is odd how you can become so attached to someone you've never met? I think that's cool. We have a new member in here who met her husband online like that.

I have a couple friends who've met and married that way.

I'm in a LDR right now but it's with someone I've known for 3 years, however the relationship only started a few months ago once we met up again online. We talk through email almost every day and at least an hour a day on the phone, plus see each other every 2 months (I fly there or she flies here) and we're absolutely smitten with each other. In some ways it's the best way to get to know someone, at least their moody side but in other ways it's the hardest thing and can be lonely, but it's what we have to do for now and since I sincerely love this girl it's what I'll do until she moves here next summer!
