STFU= shut the f*ck up.
Rock... you're a baaaad boy! Well, it's done and there's no use in crying over spilled milk. Go out there and get a job asap. and try to suggest Andrea to get a life - as in a hobby, a bf, an interest and off your back.
I know she means well, but you're not oblidged to listen to her or be her friend for that matter. You are just room mates. Try to emphasize this aspect to her. And also... this is not a good moment to be sleeping with her. HAd to say it, just to be sure!
C'mon, Rock, go get 'em!!!

I'm assuming you already have a mother Rock, make your roomy aware of it.
Getting a job is simple but getting one after just being fired is a bit trickier. I wouldn't mention the job you had to your potential new employer.
Wanna get a job, it's simple:
- Dress Up
- Apply as early in the AM as possible
- Make eye contact
- Answer all questions (no matter how bizarre) truthfully.
I've been hired at good paying jobs and I was the only applicant with no experience. I actually enjoy job interviews and I'm sure it shows because I have all the confidence in my abilities in the world. I go in with a "I can do anything" attitude, and I believe it shows.

Sorry to respond a bit on the late side, Rock.
You'll be fine. You have a good head on your shoulders, and with the will to succeed, you are almost at your new job already.
And towards the question if it is worth it, you already have the answer. Jobs come and go.
As for Andrea, don't worry too much about her. She has her own issues, and is currently partly projecting them on you. Simple as that.

Thanks Vautrin, I have a couple of jobs I applied for even before taking what turned out to be not so great advice:

Hey, rock, no offence, but she didn't make you do anything. Plus, she had no idea you had previously taken a lot of days off...
That's a bit unappreciative.
Now, you did it, you had fun, you just have to grin and bear the consequences . Love will win in the end.

Sometimes you can only see the consequences of the advice after it has been taken.
Of course a bit of frustration with the loss of job is natural. But Rock most not dwell too long on the past, but look forward to the present and future. I have every bit of confidence in the fact that Rock will find something better.

I've never been fired, I think I would have taken it pretty badly, LOL!
My ex bf and I were always making jokes about it: "you're fired! And you know what? You're fired! " YEah, kinda sucks when it does happen to ya!
Rock, we have faith in you! What type of job are you looking for?

I would like to work on campus University of Houston or in the Hilton Hotel.
Sorry if I sounded unappreciative. I thought Merika was being sarcastic and sort of flippant about my situation which is actually pretty serious to me. Sorry.

Oh everyone needs to be fired once in a while, it's good for you Don't sweat it so much. Why don't you apply for a quick waiter/ Bartender job so you can have cash everyday untill you find a job you want.
Don't sweat anything, your young good looking in college you have alot going for you, get good grades and have a blast you won't regret it I promise, **** happens and there is no use overanalyzing anything ( jeeze I can't spell) 8O

I told you to call in sick....not to ask for the day off. One you asked for the day off and was told you had already taken TOO MANY days off....then the choice was all yours.

Look I was not told until I was fired that I was taking to many days off.
Merika, OK. I have apologised for not being more grateful for your advise. Here it goes again: Sorry.
I have a very serious situation that I will take care of now. I know that stuff happens. "Cookies" are not going to help. Every one else here has been really supportive and helpful. My thanks goes to them.
