IUD'S
Hi Fayebelle
I'm fairly new to this site and haven't posted, but this is something I know about.
I had an IUD for five years. Never had one problem. The only thing you may have a longer menstral cycle and minor cramping. After a few months, the cramping does go away.
I probably would have continued to use an IUD except I was getting a divorce from my husband and my Dr. said you should only use an IUD when you are in a monogomous relationship.
At that point, I was single and dating, so I opted to go back on the pill.
This was many years ago so I had one of those old copper ones. I hear the new ones are way better.
BTW How old are you? If you don't want to have more children, why would your doc say no to tubal? Too young?
I think you should try the IUD. It's way more effective than condoms.
Have you ever discussed Depo- Provarra with your doc? It's an injection.
My daughter is 25. She has used it because she also has problems with pills. We discussed her having an IUD but because she's not in a long-term relationship, I didn't think it was a good idea.
Anyway, hope this helped a bit. Keep me posted.
