Same here. Too bad the happy feeling in the beginning didn't stay in my memory longer than the crappy feeling in the end. LOL!

that happy feeling at the beginning never stays in a long term relationship. the butterflies you get in your stomach whenever you kiss goes away after awhile.
I wish it would stay, but it never does.

You can build almost any relationship into something strong and beautiful, staying with it brings a reward people nowadays dont know anything about-I've been at the same job for 17 years-I have regrets but there are a lot of payoffs for that kind of commitment...

You are right Hezikiah. I've looked at lots of married couples lately...especially women who's husbands really didn't care if they've gained a few pounds or don't look 21 anymore....with complete jealousy. I chose to play the game until I just about beat every odd. And now....I'm getting older...and I'm alone.
Was it worth it??? NAAAHHHHHH... it was retarded.

that is so true, i have to agree.
even though some of the "new excitement" goes out of a long term relationship, I wouldn't trade what hubby and i have to have that back any day.
there's comes a point in a relationship where you get past all the sexual stuff and you actually become like 1 person. I know that i don't feel like a whole person when hubby's gone for a week working or something and i know he feels the same. we go to bed at night, cuddle and fall asleep and wake up with eachother every morning.
I've gained a few pounds since we got together. i most certainly have aged, being 41 now and i was 26 when i got together with him and you know, he still gets jealous, he still wants me and he still calls me his beautiful wife. Same goes for him. he's aged as well, he has gained a few pounds but since lost it but still, he doesn't look anywhere near being 26 anymore and i love him to pieces.
all part of really and truly loving a person is going through the thick and thin together, surviving that and growing old together. i wouldn't give all that up for anything. It is very much worth it if you stick it out together.

Absolutely true; I love my husband more and more each day! We've had a lot of tough times through the years; deaths, in-law problems, growing-up problems, illnesses, different ways of looking at things...but we've managed to survive it all...we just give each other the space of being ourselves...

Same thing is happening to me. Getting tired of all the games and drama. Just want to find a nice girl, settle down, save money and be happy. Will it happen anytime soon? Probably not.
