A Husband's Personal Checklist
My dad sent me this great list today that addresses some things men do to thier wives which damage the relationship, it made me aware of a couple things I've done in the past and want to change.
This is from a Christian site but I think the message is relevant to everyone and very helpful.

There's also a Wife's Personal Checklist:

Also there is a Parent's and a Children's Checklist. As I said, it's from a Christian site but generally you can apply most of the points to most people.

What a great comprehensive list! It would be hard to remember all of them all the time.....but it sure would be worth printing out and keeping them handy to read daily.

It would be cool if they had some sort of nice picture or classy looking poster that everyone could hang up on their walls to remind themselves each and every day.
Maybe I'll add it to the newsletter ;-)

With many of them....you don't even have to be married to apply them. They can also be applied in frienships, people you work with....and your family.
Good idea Duke.

I thought they were great points! Interestingly enough, I noticed a lot of the things that my dad did to my mom when they were together as well as things she did to him which helped all but destroy the relationship. I thought it was great that he was reading and pondering it and thought it valuable enough to pass on to me! I'm in an awesome relationship with the most wonderful girl I've ever met and if I can address these things and be aware of them before they even happen then I can make my relationship with her just that much better.

I think it would AMAZE people just how much those lists would actually save and repair marriages. I wish everyone who got a marriage license were given a copy.

Now all they need is a list on how to keep your partner happy between the sheets. I wonder if they'll mention anything about farting on her leg. :fart:
