It's a concern of mine too but I'd rather some spam and happy members than rigid rules and nobody posting. I'm sure there's a happy balance somewhere but I'm at a loss as to what it is.

Also, I have trouble keeping on topic myself which makes me a hypocrite if I tell others to do it. Maybe I'll work on developing my on topic skillz.

I think it's a great check list which people should read. I hope people are comfortable to say....BACK ON TOPIC and pick back up on the original thread....but we COULD be more careful! HAHA!

I think anyone who visits regularily will know that we're all just kidding around. There are a ton of great topics here and easily some of the best, most thought provoking of almost any I've seen on any site to date.

I'm sure as the site grows and more people join, the topics will tend to stay a bit more focused on topic with a little less goofing off. Doesn't matter to me too much as I like a loose environment where everybodies relaxed and comfortable.
