Better? There's nothing wrong with you DA. I've met you, you're interesting, kind, attractive. You're having to learn the hard way not to let your feelings about yourself dictate your life choices, or else they end up becoming a self fullfilling prophecy that re-inforces negative self beliefs. You are getting there, your life is better that it was for acting against some of these beliefs and proving them wrong (eg. that you couldn't get a girlfriend). I remember you saying that you didn't believe that a happy girl would love you. As a result you have dated two girls that have had a pattern of bad relationships before you which were about many things other than love and they have been too immature and stuck in negative self belief themselves to outgrow it.

You don't have to choose a girl that's totally sorted, but you do have to choose one that's mature enough to overcome whatever issues she has sufficiently to make you feel like the most fantastic guy in the world. That's what love is, and when you know you deserve it, you won't settle for anything less.

yeah, thanks, i know its nothing i can control, it just sucks, cause she was my best friend, i did everything with her, we had a vacation planned for august. The fact is ivyrose was right it was pseudo love, she liked the way i treated her and my family, and class but she never was in love with me.

How long were you dating for? Like I said earlier, of course she was never in love with you....not trying to be harsh, but man, it takes more than a few months to see if you love someone. At that point it's still infatuation. That's why I don't get shows like the Bachelor, "oh my god I love him"...NO YOU DON'T!

I never knew what Love was until I hit 28 years old. I actually thought I loved a few of my ex's but I found out later that simply wasn't the case at all.

3 months, but i dont think love is the right word that i was using, its the feeling that you get when you like somebody that you always think about them and your heart flutters, she said she never felt that, she wanted to, but it wasnt there and that she was with me because i treated her right and because she thought it would make me happy.

im not mad at her, yeah it sucks but nothing that i can do about it but move on, and this time no women under 22 that have maturity issues

I'm not going to question what you or her felt. I was just going by her logic. I've seen one-night-stands last for years. I just went to their 40th Wedding Anniversary last weekend, so I'm not going to judge.



It was a different time back then, but still... You either feel it or you don't. It either happens or it doesn't. No need in getting too over analytical about it. The doctors certainly can't take an X-Ray of love and tell you how much you have.

It could be you two were too good of friends. Sometimes that really sucks the chemistry out of a romantic relationship.
