Did it ever last when you received more than you gave?

I saw the last topics here: "he's not that into you", "when is enough, enough", "ever sayed in bad relationships".

What about the contrary, when he did show interest and love and attention? Did it ever happen to you? Were you happy? Did things change over time - as in you increasing the emotional contribution to the relationship over time?

It's so flattering to receive, so overwhelming... what if you just can't give? ( I admit using the exemple of my sister and her ex, erasing the post break up freaky part)

Someone showing you love is a beautiful thing.....especially when it is reciprocated. That's why break ups can be so hard. You look back and wonder if they meant any of the things they ever said or did or not.

Relationships can be great. I think it's the great design of things for everyone to find that one person who loves them special. I wouldn't stay with someone for the sole purpose that they gave me more than I gave back though. If it wasn't an even swap.....it wouldn't seem fair.
