I hate crushes, i always end up hurting. How did you get over crushes?

I never really had a problem with them personally. Sure I liked some women that I couldn't go out with but I never really put a lot of thought or daydream time into them. It's allright to have a crush on someone, the problem is that a lot of people can't seem to differentiate between reality and fantasy when it comes to crushes. It's not uncommon to have a crush on someone who is totally unatainable which always ends up in getting hurt.

Try going a decade or so without a crush: Then you'll appreciate them.

It is like being reborn; the feeling of ache in your chest; the stumbling over words; being able to see her face in front of you while you daydream, eyes wide shut, imagining the softness of her lips drawing closer to your own, finally brushing against them as you feel the paranormal auora of her skin against yours....................

That doesn't do it for me for some reason. I may have only had one or two crushes in my life and both were when I was really too young to date. I think I may have bloomed late also though because I was 17 or 18 before I really had any desire to even hook up with a gal.

I love crushes, who cares if it hurts sometimes? It's like working out, sometimes it hurts (no pain, no gain) but you are stronger and better for it. Right now, I have a bad crush on a certain unnamed beauty on this site, I don't know if anything will ever come of it, but I enjoy the flirting. Life is too short not to enjoy.

Crushes are what let you know you're still alive...that your heart and mind still have the capacity for caring for another human being in the same way you did when you were 15, that some things never change, no matter what your age.

Life would be boring without an occasional crush. I plan to have them until I'm at least 80.

I remember the feeling of having a crush on somebody.

I had a crush on this one guy when i was in the 9th grade. I finally got him when i was in the 11th grade. When he became my actual boyfriend, I wondered what was so special about him in the first place. :? I broke up with him a week later. He was NOT my type at all.

Amaizing how the fantasy of the crush totally masks the reality of it huh? 8O
