That's a very good article. I remember feeling really really sad after a break-up. The crying wouldn't stop and the thoughts were overwelming. The feeling of a break-up is like grief. It's horrible!

I agree....a bad break up can be much the same type of grief as associated with the death of someone close to you. Sometimes I don't think you ever get over them.....you just learn to live without them in your life.

Again, this may vary based on the circumstances of the break up and if there was ever any closure or explanation in your own mind. Sometimes there isn't.

I do think that men handle break ups better. I think they hurt just as much....they just seem to have a better persepctive. Some say that they don't....but I've found that the majority do. Maybe it's because they don't analyze it to pieces. They just count it as a loss and move on.
