Age diffrences
I understand that several people have a problem with older men dating younger weman or vice versa. Why is this?
Since Noah's father I have only been attracted to men that we're 7-10 years my seinor, not because I am looking for a "father" as some may say, I just can't relate to men my age I am done partying and being irresponsible and love older men because they are over it to. [/u]

I don't think that is an age issue- it's a point of life situation
There are prob men your age ready for what you are but you just don't know where to find them. Likewise there are older men that are looking to cut loose and they wouldn't interest you either
I don't think it is an issue after a certain point- I have probs w/ older peeps dating young teens or much older peeps dating students- you are just in dif stages of life and I think that abusing age as "maturity" to have a young playtoy is vile

Are you looking for a long term deal? those men will reach their midlife crisis sooner. But yeah i dont blame you for wanting maturity, i look for it too, usually dont find it in girls my age, you have it harder because guys with some exceptions mature at an older age, so you wont find that many mature guys until they are late 20s.
Most guys date younger women for a trophy and most women date older men for money, thats why there is a negative stigma with it.
I like older women because they are not as immature and are more likelyto want something long term.

I am attracted to older men for several reasons, most of it has to do with looks and maturity.
I FEEL that men in there 30's are looking for a committment and are done being dogs and bar hopping. andI find older men make more committed fathers

I think that after a certain age, it's not an issue anymore. I don't like 20 something year old men going after young teenage girls or vise vesa because that's just plain wrong. That's molesting or rape in my books.
I really don't see a problem with a 25 year old dating a 30 to 35 year old at all. at 25, you're an adult and the age difference doesn't matter anymore.
I do however have a problem with 20 or 30 year olds dating really old people in their 60's or 70's. that to me is disgusting and obvious that they are just after money.
every situation is different.

I've dated guys up to a 10 year age difference either way....it's not about the age....it's about the compatibility.

The only guy that I was with that was much older was krytal's father. he was 5 years older then i was. Most of the guys I dated were either my age, no more then 3 years older or 1 year younger then me. Hubby and I are the same age. I'm the older one by one month. I've had some variety.

When I was a teen I used to date guys older than me (around 4 years) because I could actually talk to them and they'd get it.
I once dated a guy who was 6 years older and hated it. It's not the maturity part that I find unapealing it's the fact that they want something serious. I find that uncomfortable. I mean that dated told me he wated to wait for me to finish highscool so that we could get married. Beeerk!
After my ex boyfriend I broke my habit to date guys 4 years older and now I'm with a guy who's one year older than me. It's refreshing, it's fun, him as a person is very free and independant, I like it.
Sure, the part with stability... I get some sort of it, now and then. I think that at this moment in my life (true for the past also) I value much more freedom than stability and the constraints of a relationship.

You are right Twinkle....usually an older guy will be looking more for a serious relationship than a fling. Most guys tire of the date scene quickly. I think men want a 'nest' much more than society gives them credit for.

I've dated a woman 11 years older than me and one who was 10 years younger. I prefer the older to younger.
