I was fired once when i was 18. The bartender at the bar I worked at would always get us waitresses to do her job for her while she sat around talking (flirting is more like it) with all the customers at the bar. well, this one night i was so busy that I didn't have time to take my break and she told me to do something that wasn't my job, it was hers. Being the voicetress person that I am, I plain out told her no, i'm done doing HER job; i have enough of my own job to do.

The next day, the boss calls me into his office and fires me. He said he was sorry that he had to let me go. I asked him why, he gave me no answer. So, i let him know that i knew he was sleeping with that trampy bartender, took my severance pay and walked out never to go back there again.

I got fired for no reason! It was fine because I did have 3 jobs at that time so I was okay. missed those nice tips though!

That's the only time i ever got fired or laid off. Never had a problem with any of my other many jobs.

I worked at a car dealership as a secretary when I was a senior in high school. I was such a ditz....I screwed up everything I touched. I was only there 2 weeks before they BOOTED me out the door with kind words of I needed additional schooling. I cried and decided to get married to the guy I was dating instead. LMAO!

I was layed off from British Airways after 9/11 when they released 6000 staff members based soley on seniority. It was handled very fairly and with much tears among the staff. I, on the other hand, secretly hated my job and was almost happy about it. We got a good severance check and the government extended our unemployment several times.

I got fired from PAPA Jon's Pizza and they almost sued me for " lude and lucivious acts while representing the company" LMAO I'll post the whole story later. :?

Heather, I don't know what happened. I guess picking up a boyfriend, was not part of the job-description. I hope you did though, then you would have at least had something positive at the end.

Good that you were not sued though.

The stupid PAPA John's manager said I could go home ONLY IF I WORE THIS PIZZA SUIT ( mascot suit) on a busy street. They did this to make fun of me so I GLADLY put the pizza suit on danced in the street and started Violently dry humping the pole and my co- worker. being volgur with my peperonies ect. SO I got fired. :? I hated that job anyways it's always nice to go out with a bang.. but I don't think the small children passing by in cars appreicated the way I quit, there we're several complaints and I got a restraining order form PAPA John's AWWW there pizza suks anyways
