Are You Good at Remembering Names?

Is there any that you just can't remember no matter how many times you ask? Why do you think it's easier to remember some names and just forget others? Do you have any tricks you use for remembering names? Do you feel offended when someone doesn't remember yours? Are you better at remembering faces than names?

I am relatively good at that. I beat my gf in remembering bdays.

I do have some people who I talk to every day and I still forget their name when I have to introduce them or in the case of TKD call them up front for some reason. I do much better at remembering faces but usually can't remember where I had seen them before. I usually end up spending half the day trying to figure out where I had seen them and what their names are if I even knew their name ever. I haven't figured out any tricks that work all the time.

I read in a book that if you associate a name with a funny image, like something on their head you will never forget their name. I tried it once with a co-worker named Robert, picturing a Robert's screwdriver on his head and it's been years, but I've never forgotten him!

Also, if you repeat a name back to them when introduced, it also works. A gentleman named Morgan introduced himself to me and I associated him with Captain Morgan's Rum. I haven't forgotten him, either! It helps if you like to drink, too!
