Default YEAH! Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!

I'm so excited- I loooove Harry!

Anyone who has read the books will notice that each story seems to get more violent and deal w/more death. That is why I added the poll to this thread but feel free to simply celebrate the release of book 6.

I voted 7 - 10 because it's not just the death, the overall mood of the stories can be quite dark at times as well and may be a bit much for a younger audience.

My son isn't aloud to watch anyting other than G movies but he's just a Toddler, I also think 7-10 would be more age approiprate... Jezze I really wish I could get in to Harry Potter I just can't me and my b/f have tried several times I guess it's just not our thing.

I didn't pick an age since I think what books a child/teen/adult reads is based on how well they can read and what subject matters interest them. My daughter and her friends have counted the days the next Harry Potter books were coming out... being much more excite about them than the movie versions.

The series may very well have gotten more violent and 'adult' in nature due to the characters getting older. I've never read any of the books and have only seen the first movie.

I don't know, I think it's important that kids read and if Harry Potter makes them do so then so be it.... I'm sure it's not that bad.

The books are not written that well, but the story is really good, and the books are long and make kids read. I have read all the harry potter books and will read them all again in the two days before the release of 6... reading the first 5 in one sitting was hard, i did it, but i will take an extra day this time.

She's turning 10 at the end of May and already knows way more than I do. I'm hoping by standing near to her, I'll pick up valuable IQ points through osmosis.
