Would you rather grow up....
In a large family or as an only child?

I come from a medium-sized family. 3 kids, and I am the oldest.
Both have their charms. An only child would be boring, and 6 or 7 kids would be disastrous. Not a minute really alone. 3 is fine .

I have 5 siblings but we are all about 4 to 5 years apart so by the time I became aware of things only 2 others were home. I was the baby. I love being in a big family. Holidays are so much more hectic but fun. We currently have 2 kids and when it is just us for the holidays, I miss the caos. Most only children I know tend to be too adult-like. They don't have enough interaction with other kids unless they are fortunate enough to live in a neighborhood with lots of other kids. Even then, the majority of their time is spent with their parents and other adults. I vote for big family as a kid, a small one as a parent .

Doesn't matter to me, so long as I'm loved.

I have 3 other sibblings (younger brothers) and I wouldn't change a thing.
My mother was an only child. her one fault that gets my goat is her selfeshness. she can be very selfish because, growing up, she was the only one.
My dad grew up with 4 sibblings and there isn't a selfish bone in his body. none of them are selfish at all.
my brothers and I aren't selfish either.
I wouldn't want to be an only child.

When I was a little girl I hated the fact that I wasn't an only child. Growing up I wish I had more bothers and sisters - at least 2 more.
But then my childhood was a bit taugh so.. who knows? Anyway, it's done now.
I'm very thankful for not being an only child now. VERY.

I have 3 sisters and 4 brothers and absolutely loved it. Growing up I always had someone to play with or someone to tease me mercilessly or torture me, it was fun if you are into that sort of thing. Now it's cool because they are spread out and I when I need a vacation I just go visit one.

I'm sure when I was younger there were times when I wished I was an only child. But not anymore.

I'll have you know that I was 'cold sober' when I made that post; however, I'm not so sure about my feelings when I'm drinking..
