I like DA's answer. I agree that it's because they think they're important and want the world to know it. It drives me insane!

Because you can take them wherever you go. not stuck to a wall or home.

I don't have one and i don't want one. My girls have one but they're both pay as you go and they pay for it.

1. Yes, I have to with my job. I have a bluetooth hands free kit though.
2. If they have a hands free kit, then it's alright.
3. I won't ignore my phone if it rings, it has to be on 24/7 when I am on my 2 weeks on.
4. Handy, needed for work. I would be lost without it.

1. I do but I don't usually call out. I will answer and make it short.
2. I do but understand the need occassionally. It shouldn't be more then a few minutes. Longer and you are endangering others.
3. That one I can't explain. I hate it when my goes off in a store. But I do carry it just in case something happens. I won't answer it while in lines.
4. Ease of use. So many features. The latest craze.
5. We all have one. For my daughter, it is her only phone. She is in college and we didn't want to pay for a phone for the apartment so that is it. For my job, it makes some things easier. My son abuses his sometimes and I get irritated but at least I can contact him when he is out which is most of the time.

3. Because it's fun to talk or that's the only time you have

5. My older daughter has one for keeping in touch when she's at Daddys, won't be able to stop the younger one from having one for long.....
