Default What was your favourite game when...

you were a child?

Mine was a very thinking card game called "Believe/Not Believe" with my Dad. He was such a wonderful man who had only one year in school, but was very good with numbers, great carpenter, and very good and so much fun at card games. He had this one eye-brow that shot up, and he would pass his hand over his lips, and you always knew he was up to something. Such a great memory!!!

Is that a game in which you get 5 questions or so, to find out which card the other is holding?

Never played that. My parents were not too much in games. And still are not. The only game they play is Solitaire Deathmatch on two computers. Sitting next to each other .

As far as board games, I liked Mousetrap. Playing outside with my friends I liked Kick the Can or Hide and Seek. We did that alot.

Actually, the object of the game is to get to the end with no cards. You'd put down a card and the other person puts one face down on it. You'd have to guess if he put down a higher card, same suit or a trump. So it could be truth or a lie. You really have to have a poker face for this game. If you guessed correctly, the cards would be discarded. If you didn't guess correctly, you'd have to take both cards. That is somewhat part of the game, there's a little more involved if you had a pair or two...sometime the game would take hours if you both were somewhat good liars...

My mom loved playing games, so we played a lot of board games and card games when I was growing up. I think we played Parcheesi the most.
We still all play on holidays and such.
