I am not so sure that is unnatural. I fear that too. I live in a semi rural area so seeing deer on the side of the road isn't unusual. There have even been bears on occasion, lots of squirrels. We have alligators too but they don't usually cross the road. I fear them when I am in the backwoods near a creek!!! |
Wow! you must live in such a cool place! the most "wild" animals i see are goose, squirrels and the odd hedgehog or fox.
Recently i fear anything outside of my bedroom - the depression has kicked in a huge paranoia problem and i struggle to go out my house or sometimes out my room.

I've had to train myself not to swerve, but I still might. The other day a Pheasant ran across the road in front of me and took flight just in time not to be hit. Tuesday I was 10 miles north of Cheyenne and a big Pronghorn was running along side my car trying to catch up and leap in front of me: I was going 70 mph.
Last week I saw two Elk that had been hit.....I WOULD HATE TO HIT A FREAKIN' ELK!!
I've come closest to being killed by deer that I swerved away from into oncomming traffic!
A bear ran across my path near Casper, and I've seen a couple of badgers and one Large Coyote/Grey Wolf tearing across the prairie.

We hit a deer once; or should I say, a deer hit us. Several had crossed the road (it was at night) and one didn't make it across. My husband's side of the car was damaged. My husband got out as a truck was oncoming, and my son and I followed. As soon as I saw the guy take out his knife to slit the throat of the deer to stop it from suffering, I quickly got back in the car, dazed and more frightened. My husband reported the accident next day at our destination. There was a lot of evidence still on the vehicle to prove my husband was telling the truth.  |

Fireblade nearly lost his life swerving to miss a deer. Both survived but it was a very close call.
We dont really have big animals like that here to hit, i mean there is deer in a few places but not enough to cause a big problem on the road, generally its rabbits, snakes and hedgehogs that get killed on our roads

I raced a moose once, and not on purpose. Damn thing tried to catch me as I was driving down an icy logging road in northern alberta.

They have shown it numerous times over here. I think at least 6 times that I am aware of (that being the past 12 years).
The scene with the letter was brilliant. Especially how they went from "Dear bank manager" to "Darling Fascist bully boy."
And Rick's comment: "Oh, and what makes you so sure your bank manager is a MAN?"
