I was thinking of this based on the current event item I posted today.

Have you ever had anything stolen or your house broken into?

In the US, robbery rates have declined quite a bit in the past few years. Probably due to people having more alarm systems and stricter penalties in the judicial system.

I imagine the statistics are basically the same for all countries.

no, but id be afraid for any robber that tried to break in, both me and my dad have weapons near our beds

Yes we had two armed burglaries when I lived in Jamaica, teriffying experiences. We were very lucky to escape with just possesions taken, so many people were injured, raped or killed in burglaries.

OMG Meanon, glad you got out of there.

I've had my purse stolen out of my car before but I guess it was my own dumb fault for keeping it there.

I've never had my house broken into but my cars have all been broken into with the exception of my T-Bird.

Lucky for me that it never happened in my life. I would be so scared if some robber came into my house especially if hubby wasn't home. That must be so terrifying! I hope I never have to experience that. Never even had my car broken into.

I've never had alarms. I do have content insurance though.
