using music to affect your mood

Do you listen to certain songs when you are in a certain mood?

When i feel depressed over girl issues(like now) i listen to R&B and love song type stuff.

When im happy i listen to hip-hop, rock that sorta stuff.

Today I listen to Xmas jazz I was in a melon colly mood when I am happy or want to get happy I listen to 70's- 80's n\music and on everyday normal listening it's Country and Classic Rock.

I listen to the heaviest music possible if I don't feel like going to sleep.

When I'm mellow, I like Classical music.
When I'm cleaning, I like Rock music.
When I'm sad, I like Country music.

If I'm out with the boys I listen to Slipknot / Disturbed / System of a Down (Basically heavy)

If I'm out with my party friends it's all about the Techno (hard trance, progressive trance, hard house, etc)

Out with the girlfriends, rap/hip-hop.

By myself, Techno, same stuff as above or some rap.


Edit - Techno puts me in a good mood no matter what's wrong, though I'm almost always in a good mood anyways.

How interesting!! I'm almost exactly the same.....except sometimes I'm in the mood for oldie goldie's too.

i dont listen to music because im feeling a certain way, i listen so i will feel a certain way... but it usually goes like this
hanging with friends: dance/(scr)emo/awesometechnolove/hardcore
sitting by myself:
celine dion, or old school stuff like jLo and Joe, r&b i guess
sleepy time: radio music! <3

To cheer me up I'll listen to stuff like Billy Joel's "For the Longest Time" or something funny from Steven Lynch or Weird Al. When I'm energetic, with friends, ticked off, or just can't sleep I'll listen to any good rock. I always like listening to sad music sometimes, regardless of how I feel.
