Thrills
I went on a helicopter for the first time today. The adrenaline rush was something else, it was SO exciting. The views were amazing too. Have any of you done this? If not GO NOW, you won't regret it.

OMG, Meanon, I am scared to go on a plane, let alone a helicopter! I'd have to be very, very drunk, I'm sure!
The gym I used to go to gave out Helicopter rides as prizes, I prayed I wouldn't win...and I didn't!

No Luba No..... liquor and helo rides don't mix. You'll be seeing your lunch on your lap in a heartbeat!!! That's why pilots of F14's on the base only eat bananas before a flight...cause they don't taste so bad when they come back up.

I LOVE flying....and I've been in a helo a few times. I would like to do the balloon ride thing. I would also love to do a flight on an F14....but I doubt that will ever happen.

Agreed....airports suck. After 9/11 though....there is no way to avoid it. The whole security thing is a pain. Chloe was held up for 2 hours when she got back from the UK because some woman brought back a jar of pickles. HAHAHAHA!

I have nothing to add to the pickle thing other than carrying back any perishable foods isn't permitted. When my oldest son went to Scottland last year....they held him back for a bag of unopened Beef Jerky. It was the unopened part which saved him. LOL!
It's part of the food regulation thing and people goof with it.

I love flying. Never been on a helo though.
As for food not tasting bad coming up, try eating chocolate covered digestive cookies and puking. It actually tasted GOOD. Yeah I know, gross, but it's all I had in me when I got a massive concusion.
And airport security....Oie, I was in the air when 9/11 was happening. I had surgery on my wrist that day and flew out 2 days later due to airport shutdowns. My wrist set off metal detectors, my dad had to flash his badge so I would be left alone.

Man....I was working for British Airways on 9/11. Due to the emergency...they called everyone in. The tough part was dealing with planes that we didn't know where they had ended up landing since our airports were closed. Imagine being the parent of a minor and not knowing where your child was at in the world????? Especially with the situation at hand. I worked for 12 hours solid and could only cry with parents. Canada, Iceland and the RedCross saved us. They were AWESOME......and I will never get to a place in my life of forgetting that.

Oh I forgot to mention the heavily armed guards standing particularly close to me as all this was happening. Kinda makes someone nervous.
"WHAT'S UNDER THAT CAST BOY?"
*looks at the big scary men with machine guns* "I..uh...cast..wrist...metal pin"

When we used to do sweeps on how we would commit an airport crime....actually all mine were associated with a cast on my arms and legs...so it's no wonder they checked yours out. It's the perfect way to go...........

I understand that. It's just annoying when they want to take it off, 2 days after I had surgery. Good thing Pops had some pull with the coppers.
