I wanted to know if it showed each person's IP when they saw it....I can only see mine.
I was on a site today, which I'm not a member of, and this thing came up on someone's post and it said 'Don't lurk - Join'. I thought it was cute...so I looked it up.

If you are going to ask D00k, please do so in a chatting session with all of us around - don't want to miss the "slam forehead on keyboard" message he will give.

I saw my IP address. Scary what people can do and see on the internet these days.
I would like to be invited to this chat session as well. Might be fun to see what comes across the screen when ones head hits the keyboard. I didn't know there was a chat room feature here except for the different IMing apps associated with the members. I haven't added mine but I have a couple.

The deal is....the only person who can see your info ....is you. It's an interesting signature though.

Luba...it's your internet provider number. Kind of like an address.

Thanks, Merika! I felt a little hurt that Vautrin was making fun of me because I didn't know that...
My internet provider is the telephone company I deal with.

Vautrin is too sweet to try to hurt anyone's feelings. He was just goofing around with you because:
1. He really likes you!
2. It was a dumb question!
just kidding....we know you are still a newbie!

I was not making fun of you. But sometimes, it is fun to make fun of people who have to teach people who know little or nothing about a subject - I have been in similar situations before.

It's okay, Vautrin, I'm a little sensitive on the issue of being so Computer illiterate...
I'm envious of even the small children seem to take them in stride, but the older generation that I belong to just used those old clumsy typewriters...
It would probably do me a lot of good to spend less time on Lifesupporters and more time studying Computer books...but then I would not really get to know all you great people...

Awww Luba....I have a 13 year old son who can now rebuild a computer. He does stuff on his puter that I didn't even know a puter did. Short of email, forums and a little photo swaping....I don't know spit about computers.
