Default Still Sick

I've had another stupid cold for several days now. It seems to be getting worse instead of better. I'll post inbetween all my sneezing, snotting and sleeping.

How has everyone else been feeling?

I'm sorry you're not feeling well again. hope you shake that cold soon.

I haven't had a cold since that last one I had months ago. I don't get sick too often. Even in the winter. Kids and hubby haven't been sick either.

I'm sorry to hear that your not feeling well Merika. I'm feeling great on the other hand, the best I have in almost a year. I suspect it has a lot to do with stepping down as supervisor in my job and losing all the stress while making more money.

When I get a cold....I really have problems breathing due to the situation with my lungs. To make it worse.....we are having bad weather and the humidity is a killer. Alkali told me to close all the windows and run the AC even though it's chilly...just to get past the humidity. It DID help.

When I don't get enough air....I just feel so tired and crappy.
I do have a good little breathing machine which helps a lot.

And the BRIGHT side is D00k....I can't smoke during those times. LOL!

I've decided that "The Bush Doctrine" will be targeted at my sinus problems, which usually have begun with a cold. In the past I've waited until I thought my head might explode, and finally, after suffering this way for about a month, hoping that my Frenchified immune system would somehow rally and defeat the bacteria, I visit the Dr. who precribes immococillian or some such bug killer, and within a day I'm feeling much better. Now, at the first hint of bacterial infection (icky bloody discharge), I'm off to see the Dr.

Which, makes me think of a subject for another few thread titles.........

I know the answer, you have a sympathetic injury. I've been feeling sick ever since I quit smoking. It's been a month and I'm starting to feel a little better, so there's hope.

Breathlessness is awful, I've had it a few times when my asthma has been bad. Are you on the right drugs now? I'm sure you'd be able to het better treatment if those ******** would pay for the damage they've done. When you feel better let's talk about it. There must be a way to speed it up. Meanwhile, you take care of yourself, my friend. Tell the kids to spoil you rotten

Can you just develop asthma out of the blue?

I think you can. kassandra had asthma when she was about 1 year old. She was on a machine and everything. she outgrew it by the time she was 3. she wasn't asthmatic before that at all.

I used to row a lot and always had tons of air (even in the 7K events) but the last time out I couldn't get any air into my lungs at all and had to return to the docks. I haven't rowed since because it scared the crap out of me.

Merika, you know I have been sick two weeks ago and it was for the first time I had taken it really bad. I mean really bad. There's nothing worse than having a bad state of health, it's tiring, it's really a pain in the arse, you cannot do a thing....

It is very very serious what's happening to you, given your prior "condition". See your doc, go tho the hospital and do what it takes to get well. I read this article on cnn a few days ago, the actress staring in "Meet the parents" with Ben Stiller died. Wanna know how? Complications due to a pneumonia. Went to the hospital twice and was sent home!

See your doc ASAP!!!!

How my health is right now? I've taken antibiotics for days and I think I should have taken it for a bit longer, 'cause from time to time I get this dry caugh. Other than that, I am just fine !

LEt us know how you are and please keep us posted. We all worry about you!

it might not be asthma. it could be bronchitis or just that you're not in the same shape physically as you used to be? Bronchitis is a lot like asthma. You should get your lungs checked out Duke. Wouldn't hurt to know for sure what it is.
