So how about this weekend...

Hello, guys

So what did you do this weeekend? I decided to take the leed and invited friends over...

I had the end of the enternship interview relly late on Friday, but I didn't cancel and had some of my firends over at my place. I used this occasion and cooked a lot, something I haven't done in a while, bought some nice wines and an exquisit cake

. That was sooooo nice!

On Saturday I invited my boyfriend, his best friend and his preganant girlfriend over ... we had bluefin tuna filet with tarragon (with white wine, shallot, sliced garlic and bit of sour cream), and smashed patatoes with green pesto and grid almond... yeah, I know I'm bragging... but it sure was delicious !!!

On Saturday, me and a co-worker went sight seeing around Ridgecrest, CA. We went to Sequoia National Forest and saw some huge trees. We passed the Kern River and watched a few brave souls go rafting down the river. We saw a lot of beautiful scenery. I have added the pictures to my web page if you care to look. They are on my Personal Photos Page (www.mscneighborhood.com). We ended the day at a great steak place near the Sequoia's.

Today, I have been lazy. I did laundry, went shopping and am now watching TV and posting. Just laying around my hotel. It is about 110 degrees outside so I would rather stay inside anyway. Welcome to the desert! :wink:

I had a great birthday weekend; relaxed from all the Overtime; read a lot, daydreamed, observed the beauty of Nature now that we had a weekend full of sunshine; talked with Sons and granddaugher and friends over the phone; spent a lovely Sunday with my husband; posted; and feel like a million dollars!

I relaxed on saturday since krystal had erika for the day then we all went to hubby's sister's house on sundeay for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun and nice to see them again.

The weather has been quite rainy here so there's not alot you can do outside. Usually on the weekends I run my errands that I can't get to during the week, I'm learning to ride a motorcycle so my friend usually takes me out on his and gives me lessons. I like to take long leisurely walks in this weather I tend to cut them short. A couple of friends and I take belly dancing lessons and on Sat or Sun we usually get together and practice. (mostly laugh at each other) Other than that I try to stay busy.

The Sylvian Lake is wonderfull, of I love nature. It seems so still, so perfect! Beautiful pictures!

Thank you. That is the area where I grew up. Went fishing on that lake a time or two.
