Smells and Scents
What smell brings up a wonderful memory? What is your favourite flower scent?
For me, it's lilac!

Re: Smells and Scents
The smell of diesel always reminds me of my father when he and I were a lot younger.
I love how my wife smells (herself, not what she puts on or something). When she goes away for a few days to stay with her mother like she sometimes does, I always put her unwashed sleeping shirt on her pillow so I can fall asleep with her scent nearby. I know, I'm weird...
I don't like the smell of many flowers. Tulips have a nice kind of fresh smell though.

I think that's just beautiful; especially for you to post that! What an example you set for the way a man truly loves and is devoted to his wife!

Re: Smells and Scents
I'm not sure if I deserve that much credit. It's just when you've been together for so long you start feeling so at ease with eachother that there's nothing to be ashamed about anymore.
And it hasn't always been like this, when I just met my wife she wasn't cuddly at all (not raised that way), she wouldn't let me touch her nose (an ex of hers broke it once), she would turn out the light before undressing when going to sleep, and she was very defensive / felt easily accused. It took many years for that to change to how things are now. Now she'll just fart under the blankets and wave it my way and giggle about how my face turns grumpy, lol.

Re: Smells and Scents
I know what you mean about being together for so long that everything becomes comfortable and content! LOVE that! To me, it's growing together, accepting each other's foibles with humour, and just gloriously happy to see each other across the table even though the hair isn't combed! I still hear about women who won't let their husbands see them without makeup and dressed nicely....doesn't happen here, I'm just me! I must add that I don't look like a scrag ALL the time!

Re: Smells and Scents
I like the smell of women, fresh cut lawn, and gasoline.

In that order?? Perhaps you should go to some lawn mowing competitions for women only.

Of course i like the way my fiance smells, i swear she is one of the few females I've met that has no bad odor (unless its in the AM before she brushes her teeth, yuk@morningbreath) lol
Peanut butter smells really good...
and yes Lilacs are the best, the only thing bad about them is they aren't in bloom long enough

Re: Smells and Scents
...prolly because your a freedomite trapped in a dukabors body.
I sometimes wonder because I always have to light the campfire, fireplace, etc. One of my friends growing up mother just loved me because when ever I came over to visit, I'd chop all their firewood for them just so I could use the fireplace.

Re: Smells and Scents
I think there both differing Russian Religions however what constitutes a dukabor is beyond me. If I were to guess I'd say that true dukabors live mainly off the land as much as possible and are great carpenters but lousy at any kind of maintenance. As an example, if you ever see a house skirted by 6 or more sheds in various stages of disrepair (from sagging roof, to sunken roof, to no roof, to falling walls) then you know your looking at a dukabors yard.
Freedomites are more of Russian Extremists if you ask me. They too live off the land however their pretty out there in how they choose to do so. Freedomites believe that technology is a sin and much like Amish have nothing electrical around. It's not uncommon for Freedomites to burn stuff down because it's the only way to cleans the evil ways of modern man.
This is only my take on what each is and it | |
