ealier today (whenever i posted in the thread for things to do this week) it was acting like the site was down. i waited maybe 5 mins and it let me submit my reply.

besides for that, i've never had a problem here.

You're definately part of the minority here from what I understand. This site and my others on this server have been acting up the past few weeks or so. I have to say that today is the best this site has run for me in over two weeks.

Random is right....it really depends on what time of the day you are on here. I always find it's more sluggish around noon.

wow, it's REALLY slow right now (12:26PM CST)).

when i post i click submit, wait a few seconds and then click to go back to the topic list, cus the page won't go any farther otherwise. :S

edit: ooooh, ofcourse NOW it does, lol. :roll:

You are right Random. Mine has been like that for the last hour. I've actually been doing email between waiting for something to come up. HAHA!
I have no idea why it does that sometimes.

Well I'll fire off yet another rant to Canaca but it looks like I'll have to start shopping for new webhosts over the next few weeks because they think everythings fine.

I'm sure by now that your tiring of hearing from me bitch and moan about my sites but I'm getting fed up. I do monitor webhost performance because I simply cannot be online 24/7 to ensure things are running properly. I ask my members keep me on top of the situation as well just so issues don't arise and snowball into something unmanageable. Quite honestly my sites have been performing inconsistently over the past few weeks and I'm tiring of complaining about it. A few mails ago you offered to move me to a different server and I think that's going to be the way to go. I need some closure to these issues (they do exist) and soon or I will be finding a new webhost.

I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that because I would love to stay with Canaca but my sites MUST have some consistency to them. I'm attempting to build a network of Family Friendly sites, not just a personal site, and thus need reliable webhosting. I also have future plans to use up some of my monthly bandwidth by possibly becoming a mirror for a few gaming communities and long loading pages isn't going to cut it I'm afraid.

Again, the problem is not at my end. My members range from Eastern Canada, around the US and even have some in Paris and Amsterdam, they all complain either in the forums, to my e-mail or by Private Message directly to me. I simply cannot continue not having any concrete answers to these questions. Please treat this with the utmost of seriousness because I am at my wits end here and if I can't get answers from Canaca I'll be forced to go somewhere where I can get my answers.

I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that.

Just to let you all know, Canaca admitted to some server load problems and bandwidth issues over the past week as well which they think they've worked out. Now more than ever it's extremely important that we keep on top of the site performance so please keep posting all your issues here.

I've basically stated that I don't want to continue to moan about performance with my webhost and have already started shopping for potential replacements should the issues remain.

I have to say that I really enjoy having Canaca as a webhost overall because they are quick to respond to my concerns. I just need less concerns for them to respond to because it gets tiresome.

Again, should any of you, including guests, have any problems with this site and it's perfomance, please post it here with a date and time if possible.
