Site Down Dec. 8, 2005
Well the geniuses at Canaca obviously don't have a clue how to retrieve their support tickets because they simply ignored my questions about the entire network being offline today. The only reason we're back online at all is because I managed to remote restart the virtual webserver we're hosted on.
Sadly, the sites seem to be performing very poorly so load times may increase over the next few days (I hope not). I've taken today off work to try and secure a new webhost because enough is fecking enough.
Sorry for the inconvenience folks, believe me, it was unavoidable. :?

I think we should dig up the Canaca-film thread again. And send it to them - demanding to use their (real) property, as we cannot fathom anymore what else it could be used for.
Internet service? Nah... that is only a cover.

BTW, does anyone have an idea of when the sites actually went offline? I only noticed the problem around 2:30 PM EST when I tried to access the sites before going to work.

I don't have an idea. It must be close to that time. I always check Lifesupporters after dinner-time. It was on then, but later in the evening, it was gone; so I think it should be around 2-2.30 PM.

I came on just before 6:00 p.m. ready to spam...and nothing....tried again off and on until after 7:00 p.m...then just gave up
The positive thing is, though, tried at 4:00 a.m. this morning, and it was going again

I know we came back online around 5:30 - 5:50 AM EST because thats when I'd had enough of their incommunicado and decided to take a chance and remotely restart the server and appliance administrator. I actually ended up restarting the server twice and the second time seemed to help site performance tremendously (so far).
I also know that we were online at approx. 8 AM EST on Dec. 7, 2005 because I was up 'til that time working on another network site. I went to bed and tried connecting at around 2:30 PM EST and thats when the fun began for me. I was just wondering if anyone experienced it being offline prior to that because there is a 6.5 hour window that I can't account for.

I posted around 4.30 PM that day too, and that was around 11.30 AM (EST). I must have checked the site around 6 pm over here - around 1 PM (EST). Then it was still on. So your estimate must be fairly close.

Apparently because of your double post I'm assuming the site is still unresponsive or hanging up now and again as well.

I have two, possibly three candidates. I am sending their sales departments a complete rundown of my current and future needs and hope they can fill them.
