Shaving
I hate shaving because it usually turns my face into minced meat that is until I picked up a Gilette Mach3 Turbo (actually I got it for free in the mail). As much as I hate shaving this thing is remarkable, 3 open blades and 2 lubra strips (one of which fades the older the blades get).
I just shaved off enough chin whiskers to make Grizzly Adams envious and not one nick, cut or even a rash from this razer, amazing
How often do you shave and what do you use to shave with?

Lawnmower!
Just kidding; tweezers for stubborn chin hairs...or those hair removal creams drug stores sell! For a real first class job...an Esthetician!

Re: Shaving
I shave my legs and pits once a week and pluck the chin hairs like Luba when necessary. I use a 3 bladed manual razor. I hate shaving though. Can't use the creams. They don't work for me.

Re: Shaving
I use the gillette fusion. Now keep in mind I also shave my head with it too - and I have never nicked myself ever. I used to use the mach 3, but after trying the fusion i would never go back. oh, i shave every other day. if I shave every day my face would be ripped to shreads no matter what kind of razor i use...

Re: Shaving
So what makes the Fusion better than the Mach3? I almost picked up a Fusion a few weeks ago because the store I was at didn't have Mach3 blades but passed because I have enough straight razors from the Track2 on.

Re: Shaving
4 blades on it, lasts longer, has a 5th blade if you need to trim like a goatee or something. they are more expensive though, which sucks but they do last way longer. like i said i shave my head with them to and have never nicked anything before

Re: Shaving
I have very thick beardhairs, so first I do a once over with a beardtrimmer, and then I shave with an electric shaver. If I don't use the trimmer first I actually had a few times that the electric shaver choked on the hairs and got stuck to my face, where I had to ask my wife to disassemble it to get the knifes unstuck from my cheek.
I had my first beard at 15 (and im talking 1 inch beard all around, not peachhair on the chin), and it grows straight upto my lower eyelids and down to meet my chesthair. I'm lucky it's mostly blond hair though.
I started detesting shaving when I was in the military, because I always had to shave 3 times a day, because at noon and afternoon inspection I always got accused of not shaving, eventhough I just shaved 4 hours before that.
Wet shaving just doesn't work for me because my thick beardhair just gets stuck sticking out between the blades and I literally scratch my skin open with my own cut off hair. Next to that it's too expensive because I often already need to change blades before I've finished shaving once. I even had blades fold over when shaving.
For years I used the trimmer only because of the lousy shaving experiences I've had.

Re: Shaving
Damn I thought I was bad. I always got accused of not shaving when I worked at mcdonalds lol.
It's ok now though, I just refuse to shave daily or it will look like i have a rash on my face.

Re: Shaving
I've had a couple of girlfriends that demanded me to shave before kissing, or they would end up looking like having a roadrash on their chin,
Wet shaving does give the smoothest result, but I need to get the hairs out between the blades using a toothbrush every 2 strokes or so, lol, a bit of rinsing the blade in water won't work for me.
The best shave I ever had was from a guy in (former) Yugoslavia who's daughter I was having a (holliday) relationship with. He was using the oldfashioned handsharpend single blade, but you can't find barbers around here anymore using that. Next to that a shave like that prob costs around $20 or more to get. And he made it very clear I needed to treat his daughter well while he was holding the blade to my throat, lol.
