Default Sex Offenders in your area

http://www.criminalcheck.com/

I put in my zip code and got:
http://search.criminalcheck.com/cgi-...=21&submit.y=7

THAT MANY for a relatively small area of town.

I think they should have to wear signs or special T-shirts.

wow, that's a ton of them! at least you can check though. here we can't there is no public databse for sex offenders. only the cops can see it. unbelievable huh? so, we don't know what's living in our neighbourhood. hopefully they change that soon.

here it's relatively recent that we've been able to find out where they live. There's one on the street where we used to live, right next to the school

I know the one woman on our street who was arrested for exposing herself to some kids...but Lord...she should be arrested if she exposed herself to a sailor. She's FUGLY as SH*T!

I don't know the other people. I'll check the names at the mailbox area tomorrow to see if any of them live in our direct neighborhood.

One just left my area unfrotunatly he is in prison because he broke into a neighbors home and raped her We're in a realitivly good area to, these scumbags can live anywhere.

I am enrolling Noah in a Street Defense program witch teaches "stranger danger" phone number memory self defense ect.. this is critical for all children to learn now a days, truly sad.

I think once someone offends a child they should NEVER EVER be allowed back in civilization because history shows they will just do it agin, unfortunatly sex offenders just can't be rehabilitaded enough to live around children

My mother always told me if I we're ever in a situation where I could be raped willingly go along with the sexual act, bite there thingy like a pit bull and run as and scream loud and fast.... weird advice from your mom when your 12, but at least she advised me about it :?

The woman on our street on that list....about 5 houses down.... is also the weedeater person for the neighborhood. She told me the other day that she was wrongfully accused....and I don't know one way or another first hand. All I can saw is that seeing her buck naked as FUGLY as she is....shouldn't concern anyone. LOL!

Now, I feel different about people who are found guilty of molesting or worse..... ANY age of children. I don't care if they are a neighbor, friend or relative...they should have their wheeny or taco taken care of. Just cut their stuff off......

One state did consider making Sex Offender's have a notation on their license plates as long as they were on the registry. The law didn't pass though b/c people feared vigilante justice.

The terms for Sex Offenders are very vague. So just looking at the registry really doesn't explain the crime.

Most people feel there are varying degrees to how "bad" a sex offense is. Yet looking at those sites makes people's blood boil imagining worst case scenarios. You can imagine what would happen if these people were caught on a street with nobody looking.....

We had a guy living down the street from us who is on the registry from years ago. He lived alone and actually was a pretty nice guy. He was a little odd but kept to himself mostly. I knew of his registry because of my background in law enforcement. Sometimes I just get a sixth sense about things like this and check things out on my own. His original beef was that he was caught with an underage gal and didn't know she was under 18. Not exactly a major sex crime. Few other folks in the neighborhood knew or even cared. Besides giving Popsicles to the kids in the neighborhood he always behaved himself until just recently.

He befriended the neglected kids of our neighborhood junkie / drug dealers. The kids were obviously starved for some attention at home and were always at one neighbors house or the others.

One day the drugged out Mother of one of these kids discovered her 7 year old daughter in his house with no cloths on.

He was arrested and taken away shortly after that. Now everyone in the neighborhood is obsessed with the sex offender registry. To their dismay and shock they discovered that there are three more within just a few blocks from here. They are all think the worst about what they might be registered for.

I am not really promoting such relationships (although in some states pretty much any relationship with a minor constitutes a sexual offense). The thing that worries me though is that people get on such registries for that, with the information publicly accessible.

People always assume the worst. I don't think many people would be thrilled to face vigilante justice because you fooled around with a girl / guy that was a week too young for legal requirements, some 20 or 30 years ago.

Plus it is selectively prosecuted. If research shows:

Teen Pregnancy, Contraception, Abortion Facts

"Nearly 2/3 (64%) of sexually active 15-17-year-old women have partners who are within 2 years of their age; 29% have sexual partners who are 3-5 years older, and 7% have partners who are 6 or more years older."

That would mean that about 36% of these girls would be in relationships with guys who should be on the list! Somehow I doubt that happens...
