Default Sappy Romance Thread

Sappy Romance thread

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I am a sap for a romantic story...

Share with us one of the following:

How you met your partner?

What was your first date (what'd you do?)

What was the sweetest gift you got from your beloved

What was the sweetest thing you *did* for your special someone

or really, any old sappy romance story will do - You can even change the names to protect the innocent (or not so innocent )

The internet. How else?

After a gruelling flight, and the lovely hassle with the Immigration Service of the US, we first went to a coffee-bar in Atlanta. Octane, was the name of the place if memory serves. After that, we went to the park, for a short lovely stay. Then we had a totally crappy dinner, neither of us liked, so we even went so far as to go to the Burger King for some food.

A very special ring.

Too many things to mention. One thing she did appreciate very much was to come over again, and to be as stubborn as hell in the face of adversity.

Awwww...that is sweet Vautrin. Who contacted who online first? Did you like her right away or did it take some time?

That is hard to say. She contacted me first privately, but I responded first to her publicly (and no love declarations at that time). A few weeks later we were IMing. The rest is history.

I love online romances. I think they are the best! It gives you a chance to really get to know someone in areas where you may not if you were just meeting on the sidewalk and deciding to go out for drinks or whatever. I think you can really see a person's personality the way they post and interact online. In real life, people have more of a tendency to be superficial. Online....no one cares.

I was (am) such a retard when it comes to love...

When I was 10, I almost had my first kiss, we were flirting and teasing each other. I chased her down and pinned her against the fence, I leaned in to kiss her, our bodies touched, I felt funny and scared and ran away (I still do this today).
Next I was 11 and this girl told me, "I know who you have a crush on"...so I told her who I had a crush on, she thought it was her and ran to the bathroom crying when she found out it wasn't... The truth is, I did have a crush on her but didn't think she liked me...
When I was 13, I finally kissed a girl but couldn't figure out what she was trying to do with her tongue, ha, ha....I was really that innocent.
When I was 14, I made out with a girl and got so excited, I bit her ear, not hard, just a love bite.
You would think I would have progressed but when I was 15, I had a girlfriend and we would sit together in the dark and do nothing, not hardly even talk. It sounds really weird but actually, it was very nice and I still miss that girl.
