Retail or e-cards?
So....do you still buy and mail Greeting cards or do you send e-cards?
I'm hooked on free e-cards and the only ones that get the bought ones are family and friends who don't have e-mail...

I use the free e-cards. Most people i know have computers now so the e-card is the way to go.

I use ecards too purely due to economics. I guess some people would prefer a hard copy card but they really can be pricey and then you've got to go thru addressing/stamping/remembering to mail. That seems like so much work when making a few clicks gets the job done.

i'm going to sound old fashioned but I like to pick a card and send a message. Handwriting it seems to give it that personal feel.

Re:
Retail. I rarely send ecards. I have no problem with getting them but I agree with BattleaxE in that I like to give it that personal feel. It's like saying to the person.."hey I think enough of you to take the time to drive to pick up a card, address it, stamp it and mail it....ain't I swell?"

I did a survey for Hallmark yesterday. They are coming out with the 3-card challenge in that everyone take the time to make a difference in someone's life by sending them a REAL card. The radio ads are real nice and quite convincing.

If I know their e-mail address I send e-cards. For really special occasions I will send a real card. With the price of stamps going up all the time and a cheap card going for at least $4, I prefer the e-mail version, especially when some months we have 8 to 10 birthdays/anniversaries/etc. The personal touch is nice but e-cards are personal too. You have to search the internet for nice cards and what you type in the card is personal

I like hard cards - but I usually make my own and personalize them - although I've found some really pretty or funny ones in the stores. I love Maxine cards! It just seems more personal to get a card in the mail. I love to receive them too.

I'm there. Can't wait. I love to do e-cards. That's the lazy person in me.

I am of the same mind or lack thereof. I have a program on my computer that reminds me when it is someones birthday or anniversary to help me remember but if I don't heed the reminder right away, you can forget getting anything from me.
