I can still edit my very first post, which was almost a year ago.

Duke ....we were talking about deleting double posts. I think DA is correct in that anyone can delete their own double post only if no one has posted under them.

More than anything....I just didn't want tklady to be concerned with the double post....because it happens all the time on here and every other forum. I probably delete 3-4 per day....depending on how much I am on here.

I think it may be because the 'submit' is sometimes slow, as in all forums, and we have a tendency to think we didn't click it quite right and do it again.

That shouldn't have anything to do with it. Any post that a member makes, regardless of how it's made, should be editable by that person. All members are linked to their input in several areas in the database as well as their input is directly linked to their own set of unique permissions.

I think what we need here now is a double post by someone here who isn't staff to test the theory. :?

I'll check it out over in IG next time I post on there. I know you can delete a post if no one has posted after you.....but I'm not sure if you can do it later. You can EDIT...but not DELETE. It's not a big deal at all though.
