Default Picky

I know we've talked about kids that are picky eaters.....but how about adults? Are YOU a picky eater? What would you NOT eat even if you were close to starving to death?

I'm not a picky eater, thanks to my mom, and I am quite open to trying new dishes as long as it involves vegetables. For instance, my biggest breakthough is longing after an warm escargot salad - mind you, with tomato icecream on the side... gourmet restaurants do have their way of making on change their mind about stuff, LOL!

However... I would never ever eat liver - dad forced me as a kid, I puked for a loong time, I can't even stand the smell of it. I wouldn't ever eat brain, also I do admit it can be tasty if made pane - mom loves it. The smell of it doesn't bother me though.

Beef tongue - yuuk!

Organs generally speaking - like chicken heart - no way!!

Lamb. I cannot eat lamb. I've tried it again last year and also it was very well prepared, I just couldn't eat it.

I hate watermelon and everything that has watermelon flavour. I hate lemon cakes, lemon icecream and sweet stuff made out of lemon. Except for lemonade .

That's all I remember for the moment.

I absolutely love watermelon but it's gotta be cold and fresh.

i'll eat pretty much anything.... the trick to having kids who'll eat their veggies is to not give them sweet baby foods when they're little. stuff like apple sauce, peaches, stuf like that... give em some peas and carrots and they wont know the difference then they'll learn to love it!

I won't eat heart, head cheese, liver sausage, tongue, pancakes with eggs and syrup on them, seen it, makes me gag!

French people have a sausage made out of coagulated blood, called 'boudin" . The mere thought of it gives me shivers.

Or tartare - a meat dish made from finely chopped, or ground raw beef, often served with onions and seasonings, and sometimes with raw egg. That's very well chopped row meat - you know, like the meat from ragu or from hamburgers, just not fried and... together.

Maybe the link inspires you... NOT ME!!!

People actually eat that, Luba. Apparently it's tasty... I simply can't even see myself trying it!

Twinkle, that second pic "classic hand-cut beef tartare". After close inspection I swear I saw some of that on a street by a pub...

I thought the desserts looked tastey! I'm with you Twinks on the lamb thing though. I swear it smells like wet cat to me and I can't even stand to be in the room where it is being cooked or served.

I've also never liked rudabakers or collard greens.
