This page is filling up
and so is the scrolling to view all the topics.
Do you guys think that I should make the settings lower so scrolling is minimized or do you feel that topics will go stale before there time?
I'm also concerned about some of this sites great content dissappearing on second pages because no one really goes past page one, do they?
Thoughts?

That's a problem on all forums and then people aren't comfortable posting on what's considered 'old soup'. Maybe you could retire or second page the not so interesting or out dated threads....and keep the other ones in the top or page one.
I really don't know. I just make this crap up to sound important!

lol, I'll just change the settings so scrolling isn't as tedious as it is now. The most important issues are up front anyway, I just don't want someone to turn away because they missed a truly great bunch of topics on page 2. I guess if that were the case then there would be no reason to register anyway if you're doing it because of one good post on page 2.
Man I'm a ramblin' man tonite.

IMO, don't change a thing even if I am just about a year behind answering this question! I read every page of the topic I'm interested in no matter what date it is and I'm still way back there! The only topics I don't read are the technical ones, and those are the ones that will probably teach me something...just give me time

It's easier to navigate this way and quite a few of the members here have taken the time to go back through the old topics and take a look so it's all good. There's a lot of great old posts, I guess it wouldn't hurt to bump the good ones every now and then too.

I almost wonder if we should catalogue the really helpful old topics and provide links to them on a seperate content page.
Thoughts?

That could be a LOT of work but I'd like to hear peoples feedback on it. The thing is, most people who really enjoy the site will probably take the time to look through them anyway.

I think it's ok the way it is. I go through the old threads on occasion and i have fun doing it. bringing an oldie back to life is good and I don't mind scrolling. so, whatever you do will be fine with me. either way is okay.

I only make mention of it because visitors aren't likely to scroll that far back. If I could have a relavent archives page then that would help them find the content immediately rather than having to scroll.

I love scrolling! Sometimes I scroll again through something I've read, and then maybe picked up on a sentence or two that I didn't pick up on the first time and, of course, there are some cute inuendos that are even funnier when read the second time! I just love everything the way it is!

I hate scrolling, I may get a track IR set just so I don't have to do anything other than move my head in the direction I want the screen to move.

I think it would be too much trouble to categorize old posts.
