there are tons of web hosts out there that you can put a website on for free. I use geocities. I don't think i'd ever pay unless it was a business website.

Yeah, but i need more stuff then the free sites offer, i need mysql databases and things like that so i can build forums and more advanced sites, the space orginally was for my forum that was about as big as this one, but after it collapsed the space just sat there, i have been making a politics site, but it is going slow.

I found this forum for free and it does work great. [url]http://www.proboards.com/[/ulr] . I do understand what you mean though because you do get a lot more when you pay for the space. there are a lot of hosts out there. Finding another one shouldn't be a problem.
I would be very upset however for not returning your full refund! That's robbery!

If they are going bankrupt, they don't have to return any of your money

They are not going bankrupt, the company that hosted me was run by two people and they dont have time to do it anymore, i think they are having a kid. I chose them cause it cost so little money.

Did they offer to return any of the funds or try to set you up elsewhere for a reduced price?

Well it's a good webhosting company, not perfect, but they seem to respond timely enough to all of my moaning. I can say that they've gone a long way to make this site far more stable and quicker to load than when it was first online.

Well less than 5 bux a month is cheap. Of course your first bill is substantially more than 5 bux a month.

You've got remember you get what you pay for... I've been in the web development field for over 7 years now... if you are getting decent service for $5 bucks a month I wouldn't complain we pay much more than that and for what we use for our database driven websites we were paying $90 a site now we just colocate so its a bit cheaper...
