Default My Ice Cubes Stink

Is there any way to make ice that doesn't have that crappy freezer taste and smell to them?

That's what I use. After you are done with it in the freezer and fridge...you can pour them down the drain to keep it smelling nice also.

They have new ones they've made for the fridge which are a little more durable and have a little plastic screen area....but the cheaper boxes work just as well...just place them in a bowl or something.

Also, if you live alone and aren't prone to use a lot of ice.....make sure you empty and refill at least once a week.

The ice cubes seem to go 'stale' after sitting too long in the freezer. I'm not sure why that is. Since it's frozen, it seems as though it shouldn't matter....but that's just not the reality of it.

We have an automatic/door icemaker and still have to pull them all out and start fresh every couple of weeks in the winter when we use less ice. If not, it gets a stale taste.

Or you can freeze your glasses, like beer mugs or coolie cups it stays really cold that way, plus your drinks don't get watered down.

I wish I had a beer right now, darn.

Instead I'm stuck drinking this awful Cranberry Juice.
