"No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" by Barbra Streisand & Donna Summer

I looked at it, but it goes back to 1940. You being 35 should be able to find the particular song, Merika.

HAHAHA! Like I've admitted, I was 39 so many years, sometimes I'm still confused as to what my real age is.

I didn't know until you gave your age earlier Vautrin....but it would make you and Fayebelle born in the same year.

That is certain. But given that the songs are identical, the difference might be just a few days. Strange coincidence.

If I listed all the songs for specific events and considering my age, I'd be on this one thread forever...so I'll just pass...

A song I never heard of was #1 when I was born.

Lloyd Price - Stagger Lee
The night was clear and the moon was yellow
And the leaves came tumbling down

I was standing on the corner when I heard my bulldog bark
He was barkin' at the two men who were gamblin' in the dark
It was Stagger Lee and Billy, two men who gambled late
Stagger Lee threw seven, Billy swore that he threw eight

Stagger Lee told Billy, "I can't let you go with that"
"You have won all my money and my brand new stetson hat"
Stagger Lee started off goin' down that railroad track
He said "I can't get you Billy but don't be here when I come back"

Stagger Lee went home and he got his forty-four
Said "I'm goin' to the barroom just to pay that debt I owe"
Stagger Lee went to the barroom and he stood across the barroom door
He said "Nobody move" and he pulled his forty-four

Stagger Lee shot Billy, oh he shot that poor boy so bad
Till the bullet came through Billy and it broke the bartender's glass

That was a real popular sappy song about a guy who plants a tree with his young wife, then she dies, and he still has the tree in the yard "See the tree, how big it's grown...." type of song. He also had a variety show on TV for awhile, but this song is the only one he is really known for. I dont' think you would particularly like it. It was more of a country ballad.
