Member Familiarity
Lets say no one on here knew what the other members looked like. Lets say you ended up in line next to them at the airport or wherever. How long do you think you would have to talk to them before you realized who they were?

Five minutes...because I'm now known to get right to the point...I would say " do you ever go online at Lifesupporters, Cash Pirates, or International Gathering?" First I would smile, (1 second) if they smiled back (another second) then I would proceed to tell them how I love being online and it's opened up a whole new world for me (say two-three minutes)...so I still have a few minutes for their answer and figure out who they are...

If I didn't know what anyone looked like, and I met them in an airport, I would never find out who they are.

About 15 minutes, I usually bring up lifesupporters.com up at some point as my home site, no joke.

The only one that I would recognize is Merika (even if I never owned a "merika" calendar). She would be the one with high heels and a short skirt getting all the sailors to buy her beer. She would know me because I would be the one shouting, "Yo la vi primero!"

Thanks for making me have to go Google out the meaning of that. :?
Yes, I would be easy to find. Cheap bleach blondes with beer can usually be spotted without too much trouble.

What is means is, "that I saw her first".
I was thinking sexy blonde dressed provacatively and willing to share a wink and a smile, great conversation and wit washed down with a few beers.

Re:
i wouldn't really know for sure unless i asked the question about being on lifesupporters and username. i would probably suspect it but woulkdn't be gutsy enough to ask unless it was a long conversation.

I always thought it would be fun to have a forum where everyone got a different user name when they logged on. Then see how long it takes to spot out their forum buddies just based on the words in their post.

I don't usually talk to people I don't know unless they say something first or something happens to promote a conversation. Even then, I probably would never find out who they were unless they said something that sparked a memory of Lifesupporters. Too shy.

Ok then I would know who you were, but aside from that, I never really talk about computers or the internet.

This happened to me, by chance not for fun. I spotted him after one post. A few months later I joined a forum he was on - same thing, I was spotted after one post.
