Manhole Covers
I understand that they have to be placed over the sewer lines and to allow access to underground power but which may mean the cover has to be in the middle of the road. What I don't understand is why the hell they have to be so deep in some cases and force your car to bounce over them.

must just be up there, down here they aren't like that.
There are alot of potholes on low traffic streets, but they fix them every year...

The reason I was whining about it is that some areas around here really put your car through a beating. There's this one route I travel home on and if you get stuck in the wrong lane, you have two manhole covers that you literally bounce through and the worst part is that there on a corner thats prone to flooding and very poorly lit.
We also have this annoying habit of paving streets that are perfectly fine and ignoring the really messed up roads.

BTW, if I wanted to beat him that badly I'd just adjust the database to suit my purposes. If I wanted to I could have a million points right now thanks to the helpfullness of phpMYAdmin ;-)

Trust me, you have no way of knowing. If you know anything about database manipulation you can set virtually everything on a website. ;-)
Of course I have integrity which is why all of my spam is on the up and up.

Assuming I'm stupid enough to do it all at once which I'm kinda not.

All of those are flush with the street, nothing like the depressions we have on some of our streets. I almost wonder if some suspension shops locally pay the local government kickbacks for the extra business they must receive.

Maybe they sink there due to the type of road surface they use. Here in Florida...it's the opposite. If anything...they pop up...not sink down. Either way....they are a major pain.
