Lousy Weather
What's with all the lousy weather? I had to get up at 6:00 AM to drive Isis to the bus since it was raining (thus why I'm posting at the crack of down!!!). It looks like I may have to drive Sn00py too. Then get stuck with Cracker the Wonder Dog all day inside.
It looks like we are going to get yucky rain for a couple of days and then probably one of our last cold snaps. (Isn't 'cold snap' a stupid word...I wonder where it came from?)
How are things where you live?

it's supposed to be -5 today. it did rain a few days ago and most of the snow melted but then it snowed again. I'm really HATING this snow right now. I wish it would just disapear and be gone! I'm feeling couped up because I can't go for a walk with the baby or anything because of the snow. Can't push a buggy in that! Hopefully by Easter, it'll be all gone.
When I was 15, the plan was to move to pheonix, arizona where my dad had a job lined up and move away from the cold winters but the visa took way too long. I was 16 and still no visa so he decided to move us more south of ontario where it's warmer weather instead. I wonder how different my life would've been if we did move to arizona? I wonder that from time to time.

Well...if you lived in Phoenix now...you would be recovering from that unexpected hail storm they had in the middle of the desert! How incredible was that?
However, I think I would prefer that to -5 and holding. LOL!

There seems to be a lot of strange weather patterns this year. The news said this was an extension of all the storms they had in California which produced three times more rain than they normally get this time of the year. I wonder if it's related to the tsunami....as far as weather patterns in the Pacific?
Oh....when I sent you the 'winter storm' pics....any idea where they may be from? Considering the vehicles and shore line....I was thinking perhaps the western portion of Canada. Maybe Duke can answer that one.

I think those pics would be taken in the east coast in newfoundland area. it gets really cold and looking like that in the winters. I would never live in the east of canada. too cold!

That's still too cold for me. Well....I guess if I didn't have to leave the house it wouldn't matter. The heating bills up there must be staggering!

it's celsius. We pay the same amount every month (equal billing) regardless of the season but once a year in the spring, we get this humungous bill to catch up. either you have a credit or a debit. ours is usually a debit because we don't like to be cold at any time so the thermometer is up higher then what most keep it at.
the hydro is higher too in the winter months because the furnace is being used and the clothes dryer too. I have a clothes line so most of my clothes will be hung out to dry in the summer. all exept for the jeans stuff and towels. i hate stiff jeans and towels.

I'm not sure what a hydro is..............
I used to like hanging out clothes also. Not to save on utilities....but just because it gave me something to do while the kids played outside. I would use tons of liquid fabric softner in the wash. The towels weren't too bad.

hydro is electricity.
I use both liquid and dryer softener.

It's beautiful here in the Lower Mainland and has been this way for the past few weeks. It's spring weather (without the rain for a change) and warm enough for a t-shirt.
