We know one neighbor. In our other neighborhood we became good friends with just about the whole neighborhood and still socialize with 4 or 5 couples. In our new neighborhood, we just haven't gotten into getting out and meeting them. We both work now and it is not as easy.

I know my two neighbours on my left real good. we do talk regularly when we're all in our back yards. the neighbour two doors down has a grand-daughter that comes to visit erika on a regular basis and plays with her in our yard. i don't know the neighbours to my right a whole lot. they're complainers. i did however strike a conversation with her this morning before i left the house. that's only twice now that we've talked. the ones across the street i don't ever want to get friendly with. they're loud party animals. i actually know the one from there from when i was a teenager. he was one of my brother's best friends. i didn't like him then and i still don't. you know those people that never change? he still looks the same as he did back then right down to the clothes and hair. loser.

I live in a small town. Not only do I know my all my neighbors, I know half the town. Living in a small town has it's perks; I don't have to pay before I pump my gas, I don't have to show 3 pieces of ID to write a check, I'm greeted by name wherever I go (it's like being a celebrity

The only difference is, is that you are not continuously approached for some autographs...

I know the family from across. I hear the children cryingevery morning twice - first at about 7 :30, second time about 8:20, lol!!
Other than that, I ran across the guy who lives at the appartment underneath mine and that's about it.
I'm lucky, in Paris no one knows his neighbours. I remember when I was searching for an appartment, I knocked at the wrong door - the door next to the good one. The woman who answered said she lived there for 1 ears, but no, she didn't now the neighbour next door or her family name 8O .

Tragically big city life and its anonimity sometimes lead to extreme loneliness.
Or even sadder: a person who lived alone, being dead for a couple of months or even a year, before someone notices .

I know quite a few of my neighbors but we don't socialize other than seeing each other at the mailbox or in the driveway. I've never been in their houses, nor them in mine. The PERFECT neighbors!

I live outside the city but I basically know my neighbors. I've never been in their houses or them in mine but we chat when we see each other.
