Default Jelly Bracelets?! What do they mean

For you teens out there or parents who know about these jelly braclets please explain.

I heard that kids in middle school wear these bracelets to make public about there sexual experience as some sort of code.. Is this true?

When I was young the bracelets were just cool! I guess times are changing

I asked my daughter. She said they came in all different colors....and yes...she has one.

The thought is if someone breaks a black or red one....you owe them a 'sexual favor'. She said most kids weren't really into it.

Maybe 'dating couples' are.

Hopefully she will post later and explain further.

As merika said, yes they come in all different colors...here is a key...

Black-you owe a sexual favor to the person who breaks it
Red-you owe a sexual favor to the person who gave it to you
Green-you have to kiss the person you like
Blue-you have to ask some one out
Purple-you have to tell someone that you like them
And
All sparkely ones-you have to hug someone

It never was really taken seriously, just as a joke it was kind of like a game we still play called ZAP if you write zap on someones hand then you write on their palm somthing silly they have to say when anybody says their name...

@ garlic bracelets! That would keep all those boys away from our girls!

My daughter who is almost 13 wears those. I asked her about their meaning the other day and she told me that people who actually think the colors really mean something are silly. She says she wears them because they're pretty and she can wear different ones to match her outfits.

I think people are making too big of a deal with these bracelet things. after all, they are just a peace of plastic costume jewelry for kids to wear as an accessory.

Well...haven't things PROGRESSED since the old 'mood rings'?

Just think of the guy who came up with something that unproductive in order to sell those ugly-butted bracelets!
