I love winter but not so much where I live now. Our temperature fluctuates between 1 to 8 degreees but the wet air makes for a miserable cold. It's much colder on the west coast than it was in the interior and we get very little snow here. Where I grew up the temp was always freezing or lower but there was almost no wind and precipitation was always in the form of dry snow. I really miss regular snowfalls, it's so beautiful that it's beyond words.
BTW da, the only people who think snow is a pain in the ass is people who aren't used to it. Spend a few years in a small town that gets a regular snowfall and I'm sure you'd change your words. Living in a winter wonderland is a lot of fun and it's really one of the most beautiful times of year.
