Default If you were confined to one room for a year...

... would having a computer be enough to keep you occupied?

No. I'd have to have books. If I had to choose between a computer and books - as long as I could get to complete books on-line I'd be OK. If not -- I'd choose books.

I have the ability to read hours on end from the screen as well. I know of places where I could find text editions of books online.

Besides, is ordering books to be delivered at home cheating?

I could manage that. Hopefully my bed would be in the same room as well ;-). My chair is not useful for sleeping.

As long as food, a toilet, a bed, a tv, books and a computer were there I could do it. Not with just a computer however.

That is where I have been for the last two weeks expecting to go onto 3. Besides, there are just some things you can't do without! I am sure glad I have you guys. I am so lonely here. My travel partner got to go home last week. I am here by myself as far as fellow company people. I hate to do things alone. There is a tech at the lab I am working at and hopefully he will take pitty on me tomorrow and go to the local bar and play pool with me. Drinking is a given!

No. Although I have lots of fun at the puter I do love to get out in the fresh air and excercise. I think we all need people contact also.

The toilette can BE your computer chair. Then you'll never even have to quit posting.

You are right Billy...they did have a new one this season about a bunch of people living underground or something. I never watched it. Wonder how that went for them?
