if someone accidentally sent you money

if someone accidentally sent you money via paypal..etc. would you send it back? what if they sent you more than 100 dollars?

Actually there has been research on people sending letters, which were "accidentally" left on the street, with a cheque in it. The results were intriguing. But more on that, a bit later.
