I HATE Hurricanes!!! EURRRRGGG

I swear I am moving my arse out of this storm hole! today officially SW FLA gets our 1st hurricane warning of the year! Hurricane Dennis. I am a spaz of course after Charly I fear the living crap out of them and we will now be behind in work for atleast a month plus I have a new born and this friggin storm in comming Monday. Maby god is trying to make FLA an island

Anyways we live on the water so we sure in the heck can't stay here, looks like we'll be planning an evacuation alredy in JULY. I can't believe it, hopefully the strom will move or stay a catagory 1-2. Florida BLows

I know a guy named Dennis and he's a real limp n00dle. If the hurricane is anything like him, it will turn out to be a very slight breeze.

It is nature, and something which can't be tamed by human doing.

Hurricanes come with the otherwise good weather in Florida. It is a logical price for it. So either you accept the price - or move somewhere where the chances for hurricanes, with all its impact is less severe

Even if this storm is a Trpopical Storm or a small Hurricane if it hit's Charlotte County it will be devistating, that's were Greg's construction business is most people still don't have roof's on there homes, and there are shingles and roof tiles stacked on roofs all over the county. There are high landfill type garbage sites every 3-5 miles. SO I really hope if it hits anywhere in our area it sure doesn't hit there. :?

Everyone used to laugh in the face of a Hurricane and have "hurricane parties" ect prior to Charley and Ivan now you can just feel the anxiety of the entire community. I went to WalMart last night with the kids and I swear the whole town was there getting water, food, gas ect in a huge panic.

I am going inland with the kid's I'd like to go away for the whole dammed summer :?

I think it's Dustin I'm more worried about. It looks like it should hit between Alabama and Florida late Sunday...if it doesn't SWERVE into Florida earlier.

I know you must be worried Stone.. especially with the new baby! What a total pain in the butt!!! I'm on the OTHER coast if you need a place to run to. Make sure an stock up on all diaper/baby supplies just in case.

We are beginning to see flood problems with all the rain on top of the high water table we already have.....I can't imagine how much we can take before I'm boating down to the mailboxes.

LOL this is truley unbeliveable, Greg my parents and I have been looking at Georiga Realestate for about 1 year and decided to stick it out in SWFLA another few years. NOw I want to move again. or atleast invest in a small home in the mountians somewhere to have a escape place. :?

HEY....the Georgia Mountains are God's Own Country! They have very few natural disasters there.

My parent's have a place there they LOVE to go to and if I had the money....I'd relocate there in a HEARTBEAT! No crime, no crap, not overpriced and one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Stone...I saw where they were beginning to evacuate around your area. If you leave...make sure and get gas every place you can find it and keep the tank capped. The gas is running short along the interstate (I 75 and I 10). If there is ANYTHING I can do....feel free to call me. (Check PM)[/b]
