Default how often do you go food shopping?

How often do you go food shopping, i have been going at least once a day, if not twice a day. I have found i save money by buying microwavable food. Though the extra money has been going to beer.

All my EXTRA $ goes for beer too!!! 8)

This is the first week that I tried to go for a 2 week shopping thing only because FoodLion had hamburger meat for $1.08 a pound which is almost half the regular cost. Hamburger Helper meals were only $1 a piece...and that's good too. So...I saved a bunch by buying up this week for next week also.

I guess I spend about $100 a week....but with the sale.....I got 2 weeks worth for the same price.

My husband does the grocery shopping and is a fabulous cook!! It's a big joke around here if I go into a Grocery Store. Basically, I'm a cheapskate, but when it comes to a grocery store...and I'm hungry, which is the dumbest time in the world to shop for food..

i have a store near me, but they dont have a good microwave or stovetop section, so i need to go take a trek to a bigger store to stock up a bit, I spend about $100 every 10 days, and thats just me, you are feeding 3 people on that much, thats good.

Yep....rule of thumb is to NEVER shop for groceries while you are hungry. It's best to eat a good meal and then make a menu/list for the following week. That's what I do. It's the flavored bottled water, snacks and micowave items for the kids which run up my bill.

Well when I lived on my own I didn't eat all that much, but I'd probably go every 4-5 days and stock up. Safeways always had good deals on microwaveable dishes so I would load up.

That's what my kids prefer...the Lemon flavor is their favorite. But you know what.....that stuff cost $8 for 2 six packs. That's really HIGH! I'm better off to buy them store brand coke for $3 a six pack.
