I love the fact that we're growing a bit, it really is cool to see new threads if your not around for a day or so. I still remember a time when I'd return several times per day only to see that I was the only one here. :?

I was online practically all morning Saturday, when I got tired of being by myself and posted "Where is everybody"? Merika and Vautrin came on by around 1:00 p.m. our time. Maybe somebody did check in before that time to time, but not where I was, anyway! I guess I was too busy playing with the bubblewrap and listening to Al Yankovic sing the Ebay song over and over...

I'm not online much on the weekends now when I have Dwoing because my other PC doesn't have a working OS atm. Once I get that up and running again I may be able to frequent the sites again when Dwoing is over.

I wanted to chat with her when I telephoned, but you were out.
How is she fairing with the Schools being out?

Are you kidding me, she loves it?

What kid doesn't love not going to school? It sure seems that kids spend less time in school now that they did when I was a kid. Is it just my "fogey-vision" or is it the case?

No, I think it's less time than when I was even in school.

maybe it just seemed like less time because we did more academic learning in a day then they do now. school would start for me at 9 and end at 3:30 pm. that's 6-1/2 hours of school. kassandra starts at 8:45 and ends at around 3:00 pm. it's about the same amount of time.

I do think they have more days off during the year for "non-instructional days", is that what they are called? We didn't have those when I went to school...

Have you been watching the News with the children now demonstrating to get back to school to continue their education because of the Teacher's strike? Did you see the thousands of people that gathered at the Legistature Building in Victoria yesterday? Either side is not willing to budge; looks like it may be a longer Strike than first thought..

The teachers are being supported by other unions, but children and parents are starting to get restless and want to get back to school...
