Q1: What is a free server upgrade?
A1: Your website(s) will be upgraded to an entirely new and powerful server. The truth is, as with most hosting providers, new servers are always reserved for new customers only, while old servers continue to serve old customers. At ServerFly, we strive to ensure that our "loyal" customers get as much attention as our new customers, if not more. Upgrading your website(s) to our new server will give you all the advantages our new customers are getting from us.
Q2: What are the advantages?
A2: As opposed to the current server hosting your website(s), the new server is powered by not one but two Pentium Xeon processors. Pentium Xeon processors are well-known for reliability, compared to other Pentium and non-Pentium processors. Your website(s) will definitely load faster and perform better.
Q3: When will my website(s) be upgraded?
A3: Your website(s) have been scheduled for server upgrade between 23-Jul-2005 (Sat) and 24-Jul-2005 (Sun). The actual process takes only 1-2 hours to complete.
Q4: Is there any downtime?
A4: No, there will be no downtime for your website(s) and emails during the upgrade. For customers running an online forum or portal website, however, you may experience 1-2 hours of lag time with posted messages. Meaning, if someone posts a new message during the time we are upgrading your website, it may not appear on your website after the upgrade due to the lag time. Rest assured that we will try to keep this to a barely minimum.
Q5: What should I do now?
A5: As always and especially during the server upgrade, only use your domain name to access your website, control panel, emails and FTPs.
